【真正的 Edward Wilson】

Edward Wilson 去世，享年 92。但他絕不是某國官方所偽造的 Edward Wilson。而是如假包換的 Edward Osborne Wilson (June 10, 1929 – December 26, 2021)。他不是瑞士學者，而是美國著名生物學家。早年以研究螞蟻成名。他的動物社群學 (sociobiology) 也曾吸引不少科學家討論。他更是一位生態保育的活躍分子，創辦了 Edward Wilson Foundation 保護生物多樣性 (biodiversity)。但鮮為人知的，就是他曾寫過一本名為《創造》的書。內容是邀請福音派牧者齊來與科學家合作保護這個地球。他不是教徒，但他深信科學與宗教合作才能保育這個大地。這本書出版之後，我並找不到福音派有什麼回應。看見今天北美福音派對保育大地仍然無動於衷，確實有點慚愧。
